Our Story

Camping in Kerry - Dingle Way Glamping Logo

We are Áine and Micheál. We are both from Kerry and Micheál is native to Annascaul. Our love of the outdoors and West Kerry is what led us to set up Dingle Way Glamping – Camping in Kerry with a Twist!

Our desire to create a sustainable work life balance for our family while living in a place we love was our inspiration. The Dingle Way is an historic and famous walking trail that takes you on a journey through the most beautiful scenery on the Dingle Peninsula.

Our EthosCamping in Kerry - Dingle Way Glamping Logo

Central to our ethos is a desire to create a unique holiday experience while having minimal impact on the local environment. We also believe that glamping is a wonderfully low impact and environmentally friendly way of visiting beautiful and unspoiled areas and a fantastic way to meet like minded people. We are passionate about supporting local food producers and tradespeople.

WEST KERRY AND DINGLECamping in Kerry - Dingle Way Glamping Logo

We believe that West Kerry is one of the most beautiful in the world and we want to give people the opportunity to experience this in a natural and relaxed way. Micheál was a carpenter for many years and he now brings that experience and drive for quality to this project, handcrafting our glamping units. He also builds bespoke shepherd’s huts for glamp

We are located in the pretty village of Annascaul which is known as “Base Camp, Annascaul” due to its central location on the peninsula. It is loved by walkers and hikers for its many mountain hikes, lakeside trails and beach walks.

The village has many facilities including several pubs and shops. Enjoy good food at Joan’s Café, fish & chips at Sailor’s Catch, Pizza at The Anchor and sit by the river for bar food at the South Pole Inn.

RE-WILDINGCamping in Kerry - Dingle Way Glamping Logo

We are in the process of “re-wilding” our parts of our garden.  The purpose of this is to make our little part of the world safe and friendly for all sorts of native flora and fauna and wildlife. Parts of our garden were always naturally wild and we noticed such variety in flowers, trees and little wild animals in these parts that we decided to experiment further with other areas!
